|Hubby's Pickled Squid
Here's the pickled squid recipe, my hubby makes..
We don't bother sterilizing anything because it's usually all eaten in a couple of days, just use a snap lock container.
1 squid tube cut into rings.
Sliced brown onion
Garlic (garlic in a jar is good)
Sweet chilli sauce (only about 1 or 2 tbs)
Not sure of exact measurments, but just do enough vinegar to cover the squid and do the rest to taste, the longer you leave it to marinade the tenderer the squid will be.
This is my favourite so far, just experiment a bit. Hope you enjoy!!!
PS. Never use your fingers to take out the squid, because it stops the pickling process!!! (or so we have been told!!)
